Nature vs Nurture
This is an illustration I started in August but stopped for a month or two after I got a few... negative comments about it. But I found it again and it was so close to being finished I couldn't bring myself to leave it. So like it, lump it, not sure about the goat, here it is for you! The idea behind it was (a bit of a cliche) the goat with his little horns is the symbol of hell and the woman with her halo is the symbol of heaven. But if the goat is raised by the saint will it still be evil?
You know, the more I try to explain it, the less it makes sense. It doesn't really mean anything besides the visual juxtaposition because as an atheist I don't believe in the whole concept of heaven/hell, good/evil. So here you go, its a lady chilling with a goat. With slightly religious overtones.

Autumn & Winter
I tried something new with this one, I wanted to try something with more graphic design elements such as the frame and type. The two girls represent the two main trends for Autumn & Winter, Autumn as the 60's, mad men style and Winter as the minimalist 90's trend. It was quite fun to have a play with colour for once as well!

Amelia's Magazine
My first work! I answered a call on twitter to do an illustration for Amelia's magazine and its up along with a few other talented people with Amelia's Goodwood review. Check out the article here: http://www.ameliasmagazine.com/fashion/vintage-at-goodwood-festival-review/2010/08/16/ It was very exciting, even though it was a little thing. Its of a group called the Swingle Singers http://www.swinglesingers.com/ They saw the illustration and they're putting it up on their site too! Eek!
